Saturday 30th March: What’s happening today at the Home and Garden Expo?

And we’re coming to the second weekend of the Home and Garden Expo. So far we’ve raised nearly L$2,000,000, and with bids coming in for the Auctions and votes for the Home and Garden Decorating Contest, that will be rising over the next week!

So keep on shopping – but don’t miss these other wonderful events this weekend!

Sometimes people speak, but often the event takes place in comparative silence – a break from the busyness (and the business) of the Expo – a time to reflect, remember and mourn. Set your windlight to midnight and join us – or watch from afar.

Today’s lineup at the Expo Theatre is, once again, full of amazing talent and longtime Second Life performers.

Sat, Mar 30
4pm: Grace McDunnough
Grace throws down a variety of acoustic cover and original sets with an old guitar, rich lyrics and powerfully raw vocals.

5pm: Melenda Baptiste
Melenda Baptiste’s incredible range and mixed genre, makes her show one not to be missed.

6pm: Quartz
Quartz is a singer and multi-instrumentalist with many years experience as a semi-professional musician in RL. He is also a songwriter and has composed numerous of his own original songs. His genre is an eclectic range of classic, progressive & indie rock and his powerful rich voice will grip you.

7pm: RyAnne
Ry Anne is an American singer who began singing with a choir at age 8. She is influenced by Beatles, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera and many others. Her voice ranges in styles from soothing ballads to rock and upbeat pop to folk.

So head on over to the Home & Garden Expo and bring that dance partner … it’s gonna be GREAT day!

Friday 29th March: What’s happening today at the Home and Garden Expo?

Today’s important news is – the Decorating phase of the Home and Garden Expo contest has come to an end, and the voting will start later today!

The sixteen houses have now all been decorated and later today RFL kiosks will be placed outside each one. Every Linden you pay into the kiosks counts as a vote – you can vote as much and as often as you like, and you can vote for as many houses as you want!

But in addition to this, there is plenty going on at the Home and Garden Expo today!

The Home and Garden Expo Decorating Competition

All the decorators have now been assigned hourses and are hard at working creating beautiful spaces.

The decorating phase ends at the end of Thursday March 29th. Then YOU will be able to vote of the house you like best, by paying Lindens into the RFL kiosks set out in front of each house. Voting runs from noon on March 29th – end of April 5th. All times are SLT.
